Service Description

SPRING TERM 4 3 sessions 6, 13 & 20 March LOCATION: Anat Handmade Pottery Studio - Weymouth Avenue (side gate entrance), Ealing, W5 4SA Anat lives and teaches pottery in Ealing with her young family. Her passion for ceramics started when she was just 8 years old and she has loved it ever since. She started practicing wheel throwing when she was 15 years old. After getting her BCs and MBA Anat decided to pursue her childhood dream and became a potter. Anat studied in the glass and ceramics department at ‘Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, Jerusalem’. During her studies she opened her own studio in Tel-Aviv where she used to teach and create. Anat relocated to London in 2017, teaching at The Clay Garden, Hammersmith and creating porcelain and stoneware pieces from her garden studio where she also teaches small hand-building and wheel-throwing classes. During this 3 session project your child will learn the techniques to hand build and colour their own clay animal with Anat in her boutique garden studio. Week 1: Build the main forms and bodies Week 2: Add character details and textures Week 3: Painting with coloured slips and adding further detail. Your children's animals will then be allowed to dry, be bisque fired, glazed and have a final fire. The finished animals will be available to pick-up from the FRESH studio from 6th April.
